The Tech Next Door is a fresh approach to technical support for home and business. The company was founded by Joel LaRusic, who has been operating tech support companies for close to 20 years under the brands The Computer Guy, Computer Troubleshooters North Shore and Crucial Tech. The new brand encompasses a model that aims to provide customer service excellence that is just not possible with traditional tech support. As Joel said: "I went back to the drawing board with everything I learned about providing technical support. I kept what was good and fixed what was poor. Tech Next Door is a collective of that process."
For example, Tech Next Door operates with a pool of experienced independent techs who have been trained on our brand specific customer service. With multiple techs available, customers can expect same day service and even evening and weekend service.
The company's focus is security. Traditional tech support enjoys profit when their customers get hacked and get viruses. However, how much are they doing to prevent people from getting hacked and infected in the first place. After running a repair shop for many years and providing in-home and remote technical support Joel said: " I started Tech Next Door because I was sick and tired of people, especially our older ones, getting viruses and getting ripped off. Now I'm dedicated to protecting the vulnerable so they can connect and be safe online." Tech Next Door offers free programs that provide security and protection. We explain and train on our calls, so we are not just there to fix and repair but to educate.
Tech Next Door is currently operating in the Vancouver area but this scalable model will be growing to other areas soon.
